Leo 17-18 A Teacher Of Chemistry

I recently read The Five Love Languages by Gary Chapman, which I felt to be somewhat applicable to this degree, especially as this symbol is on the cross of the Scorpio 17-18 A Woods Rich in Autumn Coloring, Aquarius 17-18 A Man Unmasked and Taurus 17-18 A Woman Holding A Bag Out Of A Window.

In my personal experience, these symbols are about the different masks and bags we use to relate to people and how we change between/from the masks and bags. When I read the Five Love Languages, it made sense for me to put it towards this Leo symbol.
The book describes how we have different ways of "filling our love-tanks" and if we or the people around us are not aware of our needs, then we become bitter and resentful because we feel unloved, whether or not we actually are. So for example, my love language is Words of Affirmation - when people encourage me, or when I get positive or even constructive feedback, I feel so happy and loved, and it helps me bond with that person. My young daughters' love languages are both primarily Physical Touch, because they are so young (so smacking is actually devastating, and now I try to hug them both more which has been getting amazing results in terms of cooperation from them, because they know I love them), and then secondarily Words of Affirmation for my youngest, and Quality Time for my oldest. My husband values Quality Time and Words of Affirmation. Since I've been applying the rules and trying to speak the different love languages to my family, we have all become more joyful. Life just seems easier! My children help me when I request Acts of Service (my secondary language) because they know I love them and want to show me they love me, so they help me out in my second love language (they were already giving me love in my primary love language).
Just like manners with strangers, speaking love languages is like an "oil of life" that helps close human relationships function smoothly.

My experience with this degree is moving away from "the personal validation" trap of the masks and bags, into a genuine expression of caring via learning my family's love language which in turn brings more genuine love expression towards me.

Incidentally, now I know my own love languages: I also need to keep my love tank filled by doing Acts of Service to myself and encouraging myself :)
