Leo 2-3 A Woman Having Her Hair Bobbed

The original symbol was "A Woman Having Her Hair Bobbed". I know a friend who has Mars in this degree, and she told me a story once of how she was out for a walk as a girl with her mother, and how her mother had remarked that it was so wonderful to be out walking with her. A neighbor drove by and stopped to offer a lift, which my friend's mother accepted. When my friend had asked why they accepted a lift, when they were enjoying the walk so much, her mother said "I didn't want to offend".

My friend feels that this degree and the story illustrates a pattern of caring what others think, and doing what society expects. Her husband often mentioned how they were able to "present well their marriage, home, life on the outside" (which he appreciated).

Since it is Mars in the degree, this indicates that whether my friend wants to or not, she is driven and action-oriented to whatever this symbol means. Even if she didn't want to be, she was around people who were driven to push her to preserve "surface appearances".

Interestingly, I have seen her go through some emotional dramas with other people and she always seems calm and rational in the face of them!
