My 2 year old daughter has her Earth on this degree. I know it's very early, but I have noted that she is quite psychic, and has been very aware of energies we can't see since she was a baby. I feel that she is very spiritual, having little care for the material things.
I hope this symbol doesn't mean martyrdom! (Typical mother that I am.) Her Earth is in House 3 so I wonder if she may become a preacher or some speaker about spirituality? I am clearly hoping for the best for my daughter compared to the experience of Pam's friend friend who has his Pluto on this degree and she feels that he is often "crucified" by his family for outing the abuse that occurred in it.

My Jupiter is here, in Virgo. I hate to confirm your suspicions about your daughter’s martyrdom, but I self-sacrifice to my own detriment. But it’s because I know I can handle things that others can’t, and I welcome it. It’s only a burden if you decide to play the victim. However, in my chart this position is trine a sag asc with neptune conjunct, and I can’t help but philosophically merge my self with others for the greatest good. I have no sense of self because there is no self, only oneness, and I absolutely subscribe to the theory of collective consciousness.

I understand that my troubles and limits are self-imposed, and that reality is a construct of the human tendency to individualize. Most are not capable of this understanding, so if I can take on something that makes this existence easier for someone who lacks that comprehension, so mote it be.

However, and while indicated by this placement (which is conjunct my NN) this is likely enhanced by my libra Pluto conjunct midheaven, I feel like it’s my duty in this life to help others understand what I just know.

Phrasing it like that makes it sound like a God complex, and that’s the primary hangup I have when trying to conceptualize my innate understanding of what is. I know that there are no answers, and that the search for meaning and attachment to identity is humanity’s greatest asset, but also our ultimate fallacy.

You can only be if you know there is no being.

Virgo

I worry with your entry. My son has 1° Virgo Mercury and I have 2° Virgo Sun.
My son also has 2° Gemini. He is only 3 years old and doctors are telling me he's delayed and may be on the "spectrum". I will not have him tested for i know he's just a baby. He is privately accepting in speech with whom he's comfortable with.
Learning of these degrees is helping me ease my worry for him but I worry of the martyr you say. I hope he doesn't go through the hardships I did as a child.

Worries about martyrdom

Hi Anonymous,
my aim for this site was to provide comfort so I want to address your comment. As JD as described above, with my initial entry, the two with this degree have an extraordinary gift, one that may be difficult to integrate into normal societal acceptance. Such is the blessing and the curse. However, take heart in the strength that comes with the degree, or the strength that will be learned from this degree.
I personally prefer to 'see' this degree for my daughter using my own Bekian symbols, which in this case is "A parachute". JD may be the parachute for her partner, my daughter may find standing in her truth or her gift a source of soft landings. Might I suggest you create your own symbolic degrees to see what you could be projecting onto this degree for your son?
